As reported earlier this week, food trucks are slowly making their way into the Downtown/Southtown area. The old Acapulco Drive-Inn which closed up shop last fall, will be the home to the Alamo Street Eat Bar owned by husband and wife Jody and Steve Newman.

Patrons can expect the following trucks on a permanent basis Attaboy, The Chili Queens, Rolling Pig, Tapa Tapa Truck and WhereYat. The trucks were chosen from over 50 applicants, according to Jody Newman. Trucks had to exhibit a friendly regard for other trucks in the venue.
The Alamo Eat Street Bar will sell beer and wine including “SA-centered draft beer,” such as Ranger Creek and other Texas beers, as well as, Lone Star and Pabst Blue Ribbon.
A soft opening is scheduled for this weekend from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. A grand opening is scheduled for April 3.
